Shopping such as Safeway, Costco and the big box stores are 20 minutes away in Soquel however, we have a charming little market (Summit Center) 3.5 miles away that has a great selection of groceries, drinks and hot foods, etc. It's not the Hilton - but it is gorgeous. Please note: This is camping - there may be bugs, critters, dirt, unpredictable weather (pack for the cold, just in case - we get surprise fog often!), early sunrise, no cell data, etc etc. Dogs and kids are welcome - dogs must be picked up after and kept on a leash if other campers are present. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 hot water shower and plugs for charging phones, laundry shed with sink and hot water, one shared BBQ grill by the fence up above the creek, and an outdoor amphitheater.Ģ5 minutes to Silicon Valley - 25 minutes to Santa Cruz Boardwalk we're centrally located in the south bay. We have 18 campsites, 3 Glamping Tents, 2 Tiny Houses and 2 Guest Suites in the house. We are a meditation retreat center with 45 acres of some of the most gorgeous redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains to enjoy hiking, creeks and small water fall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. ![]() Most of our weekends are fully booked at our Rustic Campsites already, so here is another chance to have yourself a weekend camping trip at our new Primitive Adventures campsites. Forage the plentiful eucalyptus and oak firewood for free, or pre-cut pine is available for purchase. Hot showers, toilets, and swimming pool included. We have horses and hens, separate from the campsites, so no flies or smell from them. There is wildlife like turkeys and owls and so much more (see our listing or our website). We do get days that are in the 90s sometimes in the summer and early fall, but we also have lots of shade with all the trees, and a swimming pool to cool off in as well. The weather is usually mild here and we have cool evenings. Property faces a westerly direction so there are amazing sunset views depending on where you are on standing at the time on the property. We have a beautiful 45ft waterfall with a koi pond, too. The 20 acre property starts out flat and then gentle to moderate sloped hillside with coast live oak trees, eucalyptus trees, pine trees, meadows, hiking trails and many interesting landscape features nestled between the vast farmlands North Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. It’s a peaceful, secluded and private country estate. Our new Primitive Adventures campsites are located on an established 5-star property. This is great option for those who like to bring all their own gear to camp, and don’t need or want all the extras, and save some money on booking rates in the process. We will show you what it looks like, so you can easily avoid it. There is poison oak on the property so please be aware. It is very dark at night and the view of the stars, moon, and planets is amazing. There is wildlife, and it is private and peaceful. It really is a beautiful and wonderful property. Eucalyptus, oak, and/or pine firewood is provided free for you during your stay with us. A clean and fresh well water hand/dishwashing station, plus Alhambra Crystal Fresh drinking water, and two outhouses are conveniently located to the campsites. At the campsites, we have picnic tables, fire pits, bbqs, ice chests, and more. Grey Oaks is located on 20 acres of land, with hiking and mountain biking trails, a 12 foot deep in-ground swimming pool, multiple interesting and cool landscape features, hot water shower, and animals up by the house (1/4 mile from the campsites) that you can interact with during your stay here, too (8 hens, 2 pasture horses, 2 friendly dogs, and 1 awesome cat). Reserving a campsite through HipCamp makes one a guest of the club for the duration of your stay.
